A client recently asked me: “How did you start promoting your business? Your 1:1s, workshops and all that?”

I did what everybody else does when they start their own business:

• I signed up for webinars, free and paid ones, but mostly free stuff
• I downloaded an obscene number of freebies that supposedly taught me how to marketize and monetise what I do
• I gave up and kicked my planner
• I retook my planner
• I gave up with being creative and accepted that I had to follow the trends, like, being 24/7 on Instagram
• I took a number of courses because I HAD to niche down (what a load of crap, honestly!)
• I poached Facebook groups
• I opened a profile on every social media platform there is
• Trusted many experts out there

Months later, I was back to square one. So all of the above literally taught me what I DID NOT NEED to do and have.

The moment I started understanding who I am and how I function, things started becoming so much clearer and made sense. It was a click, a ha moment.

I started posting my true voice, thoughts, opinions. I feel radiant, passionate, on fire, because I’m speaking from my guts, my soul, directly to you.

And now that I look at my current clients, followers, fans, and interact with them, I know what’s happening:

It’s my energy. That’s what draws them to me. They don’t want someone who starts a conversation and focuses on the problem. No. They want someone who yanks them out of it, someone who raises their vibe and their belief in themselves.

They love what I, and the connection that comes with it.

They aspire to be like me: an avocado fan, who does business her own way, who loves burning rules and think outside the box, a multi-passionate leader whose mission is to
shake you and set you free.

They also dream of acquiring a more unique and varied lifestyle, similar to mine.

They seek for a true, no-bullshit approach instead of a wishy washy pat on the shoulders.

They see something of themselves. They can relate to me, I am human and approachable. They believe ‘if she did it, so can I’.

They success in a different way, in a way that allows them to live the dream life.
